University of Virginia
Founded in 1977, The Virginia Belles is the oldest all-female a cappella group at the University of Virginia. Impressing audiences for decades with their energy, talent and vivacity, the Belles continue to work hard to produce exceptional, polished music. They perform around the University community and up and down the east coast, from traveling to prestigious colleges and universities including Harvard, Yale, Princeton, MIT, Brown and Georgetown, to opening live for Ingrid Michaelson in Washington DC. The Belles have also received awards such as the CARA for Best Collegiate Song of the Year (Runner-Up) and placed 3rd at the Varsity Vocals International Championship of A Cappella Quarter Finals in 2003.
