The Duke's Men

Yale University

The Duke’s Men of Yale University was founded in 1952, when Basil Duke Henning, the Master of one of Yale’s residential colleges, stole a Whiffenpoof arrangement and presented it to four of his eager freshmen. Since then, The Duke’s Men have grown from a young quartet into a rowdy family of more than 350 singers, touring internationally, recording albums, and charming presidents and preschoolers alike. With a diverse repertoire including jazz, pop, soul, showtunes, and even choral music, "Da Doox" have become one of the most respected collegiate a cappella groups in the country. We have won the ICCA New England Regional Championships three times (1996, 2005, and 2009) and just this past year, our most recent album, The Chase, was selected for the prestigious BOCA 2011, Sing 7, and Voices Only 2011 compilation albums. The Chase was also nominated for two ACA awards and three CARA awards. Check out our website at www.dukesmen.com, and our Facebook page at listn.to/thedukesmenofyale.
