House on Fire [n., ha?s / ?n / fa?e’r]
1. An audience, overwhelmed with enthusiasm and energy.
2. An archetypal characterization of the turbulence of human relationships.
Rhythm & Blue’s 8th studio album release, House On Fire, is much more than just a collection of what we feel are our most powerful and organic songs. Rather, it is a concept album that chronicles the evolution of a relationship, from its early development through its eventual demise. It is a true story that we have all seen and heard a thousand times; a narrative based in happiness, surprise, attraction, and love, but nonetheless riddled with fear, anxiety, shock and pain. Ultimately, each and every relationship is a journey, and while our journeys may take us to different places and teach us different things, it is these journeys that allow us to decide who we are and will eventually come to define the lives that we lead.
