Out of the Blue
Out of the Blue is Duke’s oldest all-female a cappella group. Established in 1980, these talented women have performed at universities across the country, private soirees, restaurants, museums, Duke’s own Cameron Indoor Stadium, and even Carnegie Hall.
Most recently, OOTB toured Istanbul, Turkey, where they performed live on Turkish national television. OOTB records and produces a CD every two years. Tracks from our award-winning albums can be found on several national compilations, such as the “Best of College A Cappella” (BOCA) series and “Voices Only.”
In addition to recording, OOTB competes in live a cappella contests and travels to perform for music lovers across the country every fall. OOTB is proud to be hosting SoJam this fall, a prestigious national collegiate a cappella festival and competition.
