Lady Blue
Lady Blue is one of Duke’s all-female, award-winning a cappella groups, and is known around campus for being a group of talented, classy, and fun-loving singers. LB was established in 1991, and has wowed audiences on and off campus ever since! Our favorite performance spots range from Cameron Indoor Stadium and the arches around Dukes campus to Central Park and cruise ships in the Caribbean, and will soon include this years fall break tour destination the South Carolina coast! We love hosting a cappella groups from other schools, mixing with other Duke groups, and of course playing the occasional game of broomball!
Last year, our latest album, Off the Record, received CARA nominations for Best Female Collegiate Album and Best Arrangement. We were also selected to compete in the Fall 2008 SoJam A Cappella Festival, and received an award for Best Staging for our performance of Break the Ice by Britney Spears.
Finally, just this summer, we were selected to be featured on the 2009 Voices Only Compilation with our rendition of Ciaras Like A Boy.
