Juxtaposition is an all-male, student run, a cappella group that’s been around since 1994. Our focus includes in-depth musicality and giving back to Virginia Tech’s community by means of performances in events around campus. Our song choices vary from semester to semester giving us a chance to experience many different genres, and also to keep our audiences interested. To achieve performance-worthy songs in different genres, we encourage group members to enlist their time in arranging our music. Our members’ hard work is obvious through our unique sound. Past generations of the group have received multiple nominations and awards celebrating musical excellence, such as being featured on BOCA in 2008, on Voices Only in 2007, and nominated 3 times for CARA awards.
